Pizzo Zucchero is definitely not a tourist place. Getting there was already an adventure because driving for 30 minutes thought narrow streets hight above Valley game a bit of adrenaline rush.
The beginning of the trail starts at Zoll cable car. Parking is next to cable car and is free. Ride takes about 10 minutes. At the top there is a sign Pizzo Zucchero which is easy to follow and reaching the top will take around 45 minutes. You can see Swing the world at the top of the mountain. At the end of May there was still snow on the way therefore it’s worth having waterproof shoes and hiking poles just in case.
The view from the top is unbelievable. Mountains covered by forest looked like jungle and higher peaks were covered with snow. In the distance you can see as well lake Maggiore. The place is visited mostly by locals so do not expect a lot of people.
Lovely place for a peaceful day with 360 degrees view will leave you speechless for sure. Hike can be extended to nearby mountains .
