Overrated or I underestimated the city. Hard to say.. Definitely it’s not my favourite Island..
Here are top things to do on Santorini
Sunset in Oia – Be prepared for crowds.The view is beautiful, but being squashed between people like sardine spoils the impression.
Walk from Thira to Oia worth doing as I didn’t see so many people on the trail.
Distance 10.5 km but it can get very hot so take water, suncream and start early.
Red beach – small but worth visiting if you are around the island. Start your road trip on quad bike very early around 6 am and you will see all the most popular places empty. Worth waking up and getting a nap later at the beach.
Volcano on Island Tholos – downside of this is that to get to harbour, you need to walk a lot of stairs and lots of people are choosing to take a donkey ride. The view of those poor animal is really heart breaking.
